Meet the Team

We are a small local team, which means the people planning, coordinating and fitting kitchen refreshes stay close to the work. Our approach is practical, friendly and centred on getting the details of the existing kitchen right.

The People You Will Work With

Daniel Mercer

Owner and Kitchen Surveyor

Daniel founded Kitchen Doors Milton Keynes after years of fitting kitchens across Milton Keynes and North Buckinghamshire. He enjoys the problem-solving side of adapting new fronts to older installations and is usually the person asking whether a cabinet really needs replacing before suggesting it should. Away from work, he spends weekends walking sections of the Grand Union Canal with his spaniel, Moss.

Jamie Collins

Kitchen Fitter

Jamie handles much of the practical fitting work, with a particular eye for door gaps, handle alignment and neat visible edges. He previously worked on interior refurbishment projects around Buckinghamshire before specialising more heavily in kitchen updates. He is also a keen amateur cyclist and knows most of the quieter routes between the villages north of Milton Keynes.

Sophie Bennett

Customer and Project Coordinator

Sophie keeps measurements, selections and fitting arrangements organised from the first enquiry through to the planned work. She grew up near Newport Pagnell and has a good working knowledge of the towns the business serves. Outside work, she volunteers with a local community garden and is usually the team member reminding everyone to label samples properly.

How We Work Together

We start by understanding what you dislike about the current kitchen and what you would prefer to keep. From there, we look at the condition and dimensions of the existing units so the proposed refresh is based on the actual room rather than assumptions. Where a door-only replacement is enough, we keep the scope focused. Where old drawer fronts, plinths or panels would undermine the result, we explain the options so you can decide whether to include them.

During fitting, we concentrate on the details people notice every day: how doors sit beside each other, whether handles line up, whether exposed panels look deliberate and whether everything opens comfortably. We aim to leave you with a kitchen that feels refreshed because the work has been thought through, not simply because the visible colour has changed.
